TheStadiumBusiness ASIA (#SAS25) and TheTicketingBusiness ASIA (#TAS25) in Hong Kong brought together more than 300 diverse and highly engaged attendees from across APAC, showing why the region is shaping up as a key hub for the global sports and entertainment industry. The programme highlighted the limitless opportunities to grow audiences, content, and venues.
One of the standout moments was the showcase of Kai Tak Sports Park, a project that sets a new standard for major sports and entertainment facilities. With careful planning from the government, private sector-led operations, and strong community engagement across the city and the Greater Bay Area, Kai Tak demonstrates how venues can drive the experience economy in the region.
Sessions covered the legacy and global reach of the Hong Kong Sevens, Thailand’s growing football scene, and the opening journey of the new Kai Tak Sports Park, now a major hub for sports and entertainment in the Greater Bay Area.
Regional Perspectives: Baseball and Ballparks looked at how Japan’s new stadiums are creating multi-purpose precincts that bring fans closer to the experience while balancing construction challenges and local expertise. In Conversation: The NBA & Asia offered a unique look at building a sports and entertainment brand in Asia, covering community outreach, youth engagement, and the growing influence of the league across the region.
