#SAS26 Preview: Sydney’s Allianz Stadium – Lessons in audio enhancement

L-Acoustics’ Ian White will join the co-hosted #TEA26 programme at TheStadiumBusiness ASIA 2026, exploring the redesign of Sydney’s Allianz Stadium audio system and the lessons the project offers for future venue development.

Ian White, Global Business Development Lead, Sports at L-Acoustics, is joining the speaker line-up in Hong Kong this October, bringing a venue technology case study centred on one of Australia’s leading sports and entertainment stadiums.

His session, Beyond the Compromise: Reimagining Audio at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, will look at the challenges encountered in redesigning the venue’s audio system and how L-Acoustics approached the architectural and technical constraints involved. Ian will also consider what the experience can teach project teams about audio planning and performance in future stadium developments.

In Ian White’s words

“Sydney’s Allianz Stadium presented a complex audio challenge: value-engineering decisions had compromised the original system’s performance. This presentation examines how L-Acoustics approached the redesign, overcoming architectural and technical constraints to deliver consistent, high-impact sound coverage, and the lessons this project offers for future stadium audio design.”

At #SAS26, Ian’s session will form part of the co-hosted That’s Entertainment! ASIA 2026 programme, bringing the Allianz Stadium project into a wider discussion around the technology shaping live sports and entertainment experiences.
