#SAS24 Spotlight: Saitama Super Arena
The latest guest delegation to confirm its participation at #SAS24 hails from Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
A convertible domed stadium, this mixed-use entertainment complex transforms in only 20 minutes from a 20,000-seat, NBA-compliant arena to a 35,000-seat stadium or an intimate concert venue. In 2001, Saitama Arena was selected as one of the world’s 50 Best Buildings.
Today, the management team at Saitama Super Arena is working on a major renovation project that will see the venue close for 15 months from January 2026.
The project aims to provide “the world’s best arena experience by enhancing the hospitality spaces” and refurbishing the food and beverage concessions.
Looking ahead to TheStadiumBusiness ASIA 2024 in Hong Kong, Yutaka Minagawa, Director of Corporate Planning & Management, Saitama Super Arena (inset picture) says: “We return to TheStadiumBusiness ASIA 2024 for the second time to interact and share insights with guests from overseas who are also involved in the operation and improvement of stadiums and arenas. There is a lot to learn and inform our project plans.”
Join Yutaka – and hundreds of sports and entertainment executives – in Kai Tak Sports Park, Hong Kong, from 16-18 October 2024 as we explore the future of design, operations, and technology for Asia’s sports and entertainment venues… only at TheStadiumBusiness ASIA 2024.
